Why Don't You…?

Sarah Jessica Parker takes a walk in Diana Vreeland's shoes for Harper's Bazaar March 2009 cover story, shot by Peter Lindbergh.

I absolutely love this spread. What a brilliant idea to recreate some of the most famous images of one the most influential fashion editors in the world. And I should know. I devoted six months of my life to Diana Vreeland, creating a massive portrait of her for my Senior Thesis in college. She is one of my personal heroes, and I quite adore her.

It seems that most people do. Last night I was at a show for Diane Von Furstenberg. Prior to the show, she was interviewed by Andre Talley and they brought up Diana Vreeland. Turns out when DVF first moved to New York, Diana was one of the first people to look at her clothes. From that first meeting in her Vogue office, Diana supported DVF and her designs. Diana was a wonderful mentor not only to DVF, but also to Andre, and it was moving to her them speak so well of her.

So with no further ado, here are some images of SJP as Diana in the newest issue of Bazaar
